Warhol Foundation May Proceed With Claims Against Insurer for Failure to Defend Lawsuits

A foundation that until recently authenticated Andy Warhol works can proceed with a suit against its insurer seeking coverage for millions in legal fees it incurred defending a now-settled suit accusing the foundation of rigging the authentication process for its own benefit, a judge has ruled. The Warhol Foundation shut down the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board partly due to the expense of defending its findings.
