Sources: Law Firm Caught Up in Judge Scandal to Close by Year’s End
Pennsylvania law firm Cardoni & Associates will close its doors by the end of the year, according to sources, following federal charges that a Luzerne County judge allegedly accepted the use of a New Jersey beach house owned by the firm's managing member and improperly ruled in that attorney's favor in a civil litigation case. A partner in the firm declined comment on a possible closure, but said the firm will soon make an announcement that "would possibly include the future of the firm."
