Small Towns Shutter Web Sites
A well-intentioned measure to increase the public's understanding and participation in government by posting notices and minutes of meetings on town Web pages has temporarily backfired in Connecticut. Officials are protesting the new law by crippling their Web sites and marking them "unofficial."
