PTO weighs hiding ‘economically significant’ patent applications
Should the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office keep "economically significant" patent applications a secret so that foreign competitors can't learn of the technology during the application period? In response to a congressional suggestion, the PTO has put the question out for public comment.
