Porn Regulation Challengers Gain Chance to Seek Discovery
Challengers to federal laws requiring pornography producers to keep lists of their actors have won their bid to seek further discovery with a ruling from the Third Circuit. The plaintiffs argued that the statutes, which stemmed from Congress' attempt to thwart child pornography, should be considered under the "strict scrutiny" standard.
