Cisco Blogger Decamps to Wilson Sonsini
Cisco Systems intellectual property lawyer Richard Frenkel, who was named along with Cisco as defendants in two lawyers' defamation suits as a result of Frenkel's posts on his anonymous Patent Troll Tracker blog, joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati this week as of counsel in its IP litigation practice. Frenkel said that his decision to leave Cisco "wasn't a direct result of the blog blowup," but, rather, that the blog renewed his interest in patent litigation.
